Coach

Alan is from Troy, IL, where he graduated from Triad High School. During his high school years, he participated in football, track and field, and wrestling. After graduation, he went on to play college football at Illinois College. While attending IC, he made the decision to enlist in the military, serving seven years in the Air National Guard as a firefighter, during which he completed two deployments. He also worked as a civilian firefighter in Topeka, KS, for several years.

Alan has always had a strong passion for exercise and fitness. Throughout his years of playing football, undergoing military training, and completing fire training, maintaining good physical fitness was essential. During one of his deployments, he stumbled upon a firehouse gym where he witnessed someone much larger than him performing a muscle-up. Intrigued, he inquired about the exercise, which sparked his journey into CrossFit. Since 2008, he has been dedicated to CrossFit and has accumulated years of experience in powerlifting and Olympic lifting. He finds joy in coaching, assisting others, and sharing his enthusiasm for CrossFit.

Alan is the proud father of three wonderful daughters: Kenley, Kallie, and Stevie. In his spare time away from coaching, he loves to spend quality moments with them.

Having devoted seven years to serving his country and communities as a military member and firefighter, he is now eager to lend his expertise to the people of this community.
