Remembering Senior Airman Bradley R. Smith from Troy, IL
Air Force Senior Airman Bradley R. Smith served with the 10th Air Support Operations Squadron at Fort Riley, Kansas. Tragically, he lost his life on January 3, 2010, during Operation ENDURING FREEDOM, when an improvised explosive device detonated while he was supporting combat operations near Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan. Bradley's courage and sacrifice continue to inspire us all.
The "Bradley" WOD is a special CrossFit Hero workout. As a community, we come together to perform this workout to honor his sacrifice.
This event will take place on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at CrossFit 557. Everyone is welcome, and we will provide modifications to ensure all can participate. Let's unite to remember Bradley's bravery.

All ages and fitness levels welcome!
On Saturday, September 6, 2025, we're honoring Bradley R. Smith with the Hero workout named 'Bradley'. This event is open to everyone from beginner to experienced athlete. We will support all participants with modifications as needed.
Time: 7:00AM - 10:00AM
LOCATION: CrossFit 557
REGISTRATION: Two heat times at 7:00AM and 8:30AM (register below)
COST: This event is FREE!
MODIFICATION OPTIONS (not an all inclusive list):
We will accept donations for the Bradley R. Smith Memorial Scholarship Fund and ALL shirt sales will go to the Fund.
When you register for a heat time, you will be prompted to sign the waiver and you can order a shirt if you like. Payment can be made on the day of the event with cash or check (these are preferred), or credit card if needed.
THE WORKOUT
This workout was designed to be done individually, but at CrossFit 557 we want this to be a fun community workout so we do the workout with a partner. You and your partner will complete a total of 20 rounds. One person does a whole round while the other rests. After one finishes, you will switch roles. Each person will complete 10 rounds in total.
*NOTE: the 30 seconds rest in the original workout is taken out when you partner because you will rest while your partner does a whole round.
