Olympic Weightlifting has become one of the main staples of CrossFit.  Today over 30% of the open and most competitions are made up of some form of weightlifting.  Therefore, improving your weightlifting has become a focus of many athletes.  CrossFit 557 is one of the only gyms around that not only offers a weightlifting class, but one that runs in an 8 week cycle and builds upon itself from the previous weeks.  This allows athletes to easily build over the 8 week course showing great results from start to finish.  

There is a certain amount of commitment that is required as this class is run on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm to 8:30 pm.  The class size is capped in order to keep the coach to athlete ratio lower and allow more 1 on 1 time and address your specific issues.  The class is taught by our very own Weightlifting Coach Jeff.  He started in the world of CrossFit but has transitioned to strictly weightlifting working with Texas Barbell Club and The Lab Gym to improve his own skills.

Possibly the most unique part about this class is that we open it up to athletes outside of CrossFit 557.  We allow 25% of the class to be filled by athletes from other gyms or anyone that just wants to improve their weightlifting.  For anyone interested in this opportunity please fill out the form below and someone will be in contact with you shortly.
