An adapted CrossFit class with emphasis on core strength, functional mobility, balance, coordination, and fluency of movement. CrossFit equipment will be used with movements modified as needed, on an individual basis. Individual and group activities will be led.
This class is targeted to special needs children / teens and their caregivers seeking to improve mobility, strength, flexibility, aerobic capacity, balance, and coordination in a group setting with peers. This setting also provides the opportunity for caregivers to network with one another.
Jennifer Norton, MSPT will organize and lead this group. She has been practicing pediatric Physical Therapy for more than 20 years in local hospital, home, and school settings. Jennifer has also been competing in CrossFit over the past 3 years. She has led group wellness classes for adults and children over the past 7 years.
The entire program will run $70 for 6 total sessions. Sessions will be held on Saturday's at 11:15 am and will last 1 hour. The sessions will be as follows :
